Anonymous said: what are your thoughts on waking a family member up for a prayer (fajr for example). Usually if i know I'm going to sleep before i'll ask someone to wake me up along with my alarm set on loud, if not i just stay awake until its time…. (sorry for rambling) my point is, if i'm up, am i supposed to wake them up even if they never set alarms for themselves or ask to be woken up?
It depends on the family I think. I had a roommate who used to wake me up for fajr, but we had an agreement that we would wake the other up so we could pray together.
But people also need their own time to develop their praying habits, they might not want to be woken up. You should figure that out with your family. There’s no one correct answer.
Good intentions though, wanting to wake them up that is.
